Take a ride with Stine Kinck – in a universe of balloons and pink icing.
Stine Kinck comes from a musical family, where jazz was the religion, and already at the start of her teenage years did she get acquainted with the music scene. She started as a background singer for Savage Rose at 15, and for a while she toured the world with them. In 1998, at 17, she followed Mai-Britt Vingsøe in the crazy pop ensemble Los Umbrellos together with rapper Al Agami. At the time they had a worldwide hit with 'No Tenge Dinero'.
In this way Stine Kinck was made aware her talents as a singer at an early age, which resulted in various guest performances on e.g. Filur’s album 'Deeply Superficial' and on a tour as a vocalist with Hvid Sjokolade.
In 2003 Stine Kinck got serious about her own career. She met Pharfar (Bikstok Røgsystem, Djosos Krost, Natasja) through her friend Eaggerman from Bikstok Røgsystem, who had told Pharfar about her fantastic voice and personality. Stine Kinck and Pharfar decided to test their working chemistry. The result was 7 tracks, which later should prove to be the mold for a close musical relationship. Before it got thus far however, Stine Kinck set out on a big city fairytale. She was in love with New York and would do anything to be in the city as much as possible. After several long stays there, Stine managed to establish herself in the city’s Neo Soul scene as well as work as a model for Wilhelmina Models, her fairytale temporaly ended due to problems with her visa.
Once settled back in Copenhagen, Stine reconnected with Pharfar and Fresh-I and they started collaborating again. This time they were more focused. Fresh-I insisted that Stine Kinck sing in Danish and tried to persuade her to do so. She was a little skeptical at first but soon came to agree. Luckily!
The road has been a long one, but now it is obvious - Stine Kinck is here and she can’t be ignored. Her first single 'Kom med meg' showed potential and cemented her talent.
