Ever Say Ever, Adiafora & Trädvältarklubben, Lotta Lindgren Project

Written by

Recently highlighted by us as a band to look out for, now is the perfect chance to see Ever Say Ever live!

Ever Say Ever are part of a trio of bands performing live at Fasching on 30 August, representing the latest from the growing Swedish modern soul and hip-hop scene.

The other bands joining them are Adiafora & Trädvältarklubben and Lotta Lindgren Project (a band we've been tipped about) presenting a soulful evening full of rousing hip-hop beats, soul and new great music and vibes.

Old soul. Classic soul. Neo-soul. Regardless of the title, if it has a soulful sound in the Nordic regions we’re eager to hear it, and our ears have been tuned in to Swedish band Ever Say Ever for a while.

They were right to refresh it.

A lick of paint, trendy exposed pipework, and the removal of most of the balcony has given the venue Fasching a more open spaced feel, and most importantly, the music room to breathe.

For those who have never been to Fasching, it's often compared to London's Ronnie Scotts and it's Stockholm's main venue for live jazz and soul events.

The new look was at least a positive surprise on my arrival, while news of the cancellation of the band I'd come to see, Ever Say Ever, wasn't.

However, the evening at Fasching would still have a soulful flavour but with a much shorter review from me!
