Ms. Lynx - Whatcha Doin'!?

Written by

Bursting onto the music scene is Finnish singer Ms. Lynx, aka Linda Lives, lead singer of the brilliant band Oaklyn.

Produced by Ms.Lynx, ‘Whatcha Doin'!?’ is mixed and recorded by her partner Sami Tammela, continuing to show what a talented and creative partnership this is.

In the video, Ms. Lynx is accompanied by CLEVA, a group of female dancers from Helsinki. CLEVA is one of the most successful street dance crews in Finland. Formed in 2009, the group consists of seven ladies and focuses on hip hop and house dance. They are best known for their original and recognizable style. The excellent Bollywood influenced video is colourful, brilliant, and fun!

I already knew Sami Tammela due to his soul music work in the band-duo Oaklyn, together with vocalist Linda Ilves. Just recently, I was lucky enough to see them perform live for the first time in Helsinki with the Finnish Soul Collective (Dolla Lova & The Man).

Now I’m sitting with Sami in a different context. For the last two weeks, Sami has worked on the sound design for the Race Horse Company and their show Super Sunday – a contemporary circus piece with acrobatics on an extreme level. Together with six other guys, Sami has worked, eaten, and slept in the venue for their show in Hangaren, Stockholm to prepare for the premier.
