Upcoming Danish singer Partick Dorgan releases a bittersweet soul debut

Written by

Released on the 13 October 2014 is Partick Dorgans debut single ‘On the Way Down’, inspired by jazz and soul.

As a teenager, Patrick heard the Danish crooner ‘Asger Rosenberg’ singing in a pub. It was an experience he was deeply influenced by, and it was a musical turning point for him.

Since then, Patrick Dorgan has performed a handful of intense concerts at small venues in Copenhagen offering his interpretation of the increasingly popular Danish soul sound.

The debut single, 'On The Way Down’, released on Copenhagen Records, is about the bittersweet feeling that comes when you encounter your ex, while you are on the way up  - and she's 'On The Way Down'.

The good news for Partick is ‘On the Way Down’ has already been chosen by Danish radio P3 as their ‘Song of the Week.’

The Press do tend to call every new Danish act that isn't rock or electronic for soul, so we’re still holding our horses but curious to hear more from him.
