One of Norways most exciting new bands, Rohey release their official debut single

Written by

When we first heard Rohey it wasn’t long before we went to see them live, and immediately invited them to perform at the Scandinavian Soul Music Awards 2016.

Some bands just deserve and demand attention and Rohey are without doubt one.

Now the Norwegian band release their highly anticipated official single "Is this all there is?" on Jazzland Recordings.

Rohey newsingleRohey consists of Rohey Taalah on vocals and her unique voice is helping define this band’s sound and immediately sets them apart. With Ivan Blomqvist on keys, Kristian B. Jacobsen on bass and Henrik Lødøen on drums, together they combine to create lush neo-soul vibes with jazz arrangements, and overlaid with creative, poetic lyrics.

From the powerful, broken beat opening, ’Is this all there is?’ exemplifies this bands creative intentions which feels like the love child of Erykah Badu and Hiatus Kaiyote!

While we hope a video will also be forthcoming, dive into a debut single that signals the birth of this unique and exciting band.

Rohey are currently on tour across Norway with Bernhoft.
