Jimmy Kuf releases cool jazzy/soul single - Spela roll

Written by

Swedish producer/beatmaker, Jimmy Kuf makes a debut (for us) with a smooth, soulful lounge, single featuring Johanna Boes on vocals and Casper Lundström (Lars Langos) on guitar.

Released on Smatterband Records and sung in Swedish, ‘Spela roll’ (Play a role) somehow feels French in flavour with a romantic, blissful, and laid back tone.

One can hear the new Jimmy Kuf  in my music (from his debut EP), the feeling is a little different”, Jimmy told us. “I would describe ‘Spela roll’ as a mix of jazz, funk, hip hop and lounge soul-pop. I'm really happy with this song and wish you a pleasant listening, preferably lying in bed with headphones, or whilst cuddling with a lover is highly recommended.

We took his advice, and added a glass of wine.

It’s a hard life being a music reviewer! Enjoy!
