Morabeza Tobacco introduce their lo-fi disco - TTYL

Written by
Morabeza Tobacco is a new duo from Sweden who present their experimental lo-fi sound with the debut single - TTYL.

Named after a little tobacco shop at Mariatorget, Stockholm, Morabeza Tobacco is the fusion of Vanilla and Gustav and their nearly four minutes track blends funk, half-speed disco, indie and lo-fi. The TV series Stranger Things comes to mind while listening to the eerie echoes of 80’s electronic chords.

It takes skill to do it well, like fellow Swedes Pomona Dream, and this debut certainly demonstrates the creative attitude of retro revivalists can work wonders.

Great name. Impressive debut!

  • Introducing - Luxe For Fun (UK/DK)

Rules are meant to be broken, though we don't recommend using this as an excuse to a Judge.

However, we're about to break one of our own rules by including a debut single by duo Luxe For Fun - despite neither artist/musician hailing from these Scandinavian shores!

In our defense, your honor, their music was recorded in the excellent DeltaLab Studio, Copenhagen.
