New release: Nine Sparks Riots - Elevation (feat. Graciela Chin A Loi)

Written by

In case you’re wondering, Nine Sparks Riots isn’t a punk band.

Nine Sparks Riots is Swedish trombonist, Kristian Persson's Jazz band, and his new single - Elevation is a soulful testimony to making the most of life.

“I was quite high on life when I wrote the song, so it's basically about appreciating and making the most of our short time here on earth. And, be sure to leave it a little bit better than when we got here” says Kristian.

Elevation features the talented Swedish soul/jazz singer Graciela Chin A Loi, who recently released her debut single - A Single Thing.

“When I started working on the song and asked Graciela to feature, we were only friends. When we recorded the song, we were a couple and lived together, and now on the day of the release, we're engaged and expecting a baby... So some of the lines are dedicated to the next generation:

"Lets elevate to good and fun, lets smile and laugh and sing a long, lets plant the seed for peace and sun, lets teach our young that all are one"

The combination is a delightful fusion of hip-hop, jazz and soul, and can officially be called baby making music!
