Return of the Mac

Written by
While we took a short semester, Paul Mac Innes, one of Sweden's top male soul singers, returned to the studio and released a solid new single/video - Moving On.

The Gothenburg based singer makes a welcome return after a short hiatus and demonstrates his soulful expression synonymous with soul greats such as Bobby Womack and Willie Hutch. His voice simply oozes Soul.

This wonderfully accessible single has a warm, broad appeal and delivers another dimension to the growing Nordic soul scene.

Moving On is announced with a Scandi-surreal video and is the A side of a forthcoming 7" vinyl.

The songs were written in collaboration with producer Mattias Axelsson and recorded at the renowned Swedish studio 'Svenska Grammofon Studion”. US Grammy winning string arranger Mattias Bylund also contributes.

Swedish singer, Paul Mac Innes second single Crash & Burn is a soulful/pop fusion oozing impassioned emotion.

The bespectacled singer has gone back to the core of his music, and the result feels retro yet modern, almost with a ‘Bowiesque’ lyrical construction. Released with a rolling cassette video it also genuflects his love for nostalgia. He’s asking us to listen the way we used too.
