Petrus Nordh - Break In Half

Written by
Composed, written, produced and mixed by Petrus Nordh, Break In Half is his second EP and it's a fitting point to discover the solo Swedish artist.

The four-track (excluding the interlude) glides with soulful influences, warm vocal tones and focused delivery.

Based in Gothenburg, Petrus Nordh incorporates elements of pop, retro funk and old soul in his sound driving it with guitar riffs. You can sense his influences from D’Angelo and Frank Zappa particularly on - Dependency (feat. Eva-Linn Nordh).

Undoubtedly Petrus is a skilled musician and lyricist, and Norwegian singer Bernhoft comes to mind when listening to - Relay. The soulful ballad - Missing Piece (For A.H.) continues to draw parallel thoughts with heightened harmonies and poignant lyrics.

While the EP won't grab you by the lapels and pull you in close, it balances cohesively teasing an artist on an upward journey.
