The Band Called Oh - Guerrilla Gardening

An album built around the concept of Guerrilla Gardening, a movement that sought to improve the urban decay of 60’s New York is certainly a brave and fascinating idea. We took a listen to the Norwegian band's new album.

Rohey - A Million Things

Sold out gigs, high praise from Jamie Callum, and a five-star review in the Norwegian newspaper Dagsavisen confirm what we already knew - Rohey is different, exciting and a band you should know.

The Norwegian quartets exquisite, jazzy-soul tracks have impressed since their debut, and the first compilation of their music can now be found in a strikingly designed, 12-track album - A Million Things.
Live or recorded, Norwegian band Rohey are jazzy, soulful, daring and utterly captivating.

In a recently posted video, we see a live performance of their second single - I Found Me, at Rockefeller, Oslo in front of a packed crowd.

When we first heard Rohey it wasn’t long before we went to see them live, and immediately invited them to perform at the Scandinavian Soul Music Awards 2016.

Some bands just deserve and demand attention and Rohey are without doubt one.

Now the Norwegian band release their highly anticipated official single "Is this all there is?" on Jazzland Recordings.

Happy Hip Hop went backstage at SSMA 2016

American blog Happy Hip Hop attended the Scandinavian Soul Music Awards earlier this year and it seems they really enjoyed the event!

The relatively new website, driven by Gari ‘Harlem Globetrotter’ Harvey, covers prominently hip hop but also reaches out to R&B and soul. Whilst in Sweden they captured footage from several performances and also took the chance to go backstage and meet Norwegian band Rohey’s lead singer, Rohey Taalah and Swedish singer Jasmine Kara.

The compelling Norwegian singer Rohey Taalah takes a break from the band Rohey to join Reggie got beats on his new single ‘On the Floor’.

Produced by Reggie got beats, the result is a upbeat groove ready for summer weather and beach-side dancefloors.
