Stateside R&B glides with Leen / Orbit feat. Honey
Smooth R&B/Hip-hop single also reveals a past soulful gem.
American/Danish artist Leen, born and raised between Copenhagen, Denmark and Charlotte N.C, makes her debut on our site with her latest single – Orbit.
A soothing R&B single, produced by Mike Swoop, Leens’ vocals deliver smooth emotions with a bold, no-nonsense edge. With rapper, ‘Honey‘ rhymes stirring into the mix, Orbit reawakens ’90’s memories.
Also not to be missed is the dazzling video partnering this single (see above).
Behind the creation of this New York shot video is Souldega – a black female artist collective whose members includes Leen. Splashed with eye-catching fashion, a spectrum of colours, and the fittest pole dancer ever, it proudly salutes female empowerment and continues the much-needed forward momentum of black women in creative industries.
REWIND THOSE SUMMER DAYS
Diving into Leen’s archives revealed a single I felt compelled to include. Using the sweet rhythm of the Isley Brothers classic Footsteps in the Dark, Leen overlaid her buttery soft vocals on her single – One of Them Days to arouse memories of life’s sunniest days even if the lyrics reflect a cloudy outlook. Gorgeous.
