Julia Siraj

Julia Siraj is a rising voice in the soul-pop sphere, crafting unguarded lyrics over warm chords, energetic drums, and rich arrangements. The daughter of an Eritrean father and a Swedish mother, Siraj grew up in a small town in central Sweden, where she fell in love with songwriting as a young, searching teenager. Drawing inspiration from artists like Erykah Badu and Cleo Sol, she expresses herself with boldness and intention. After the release of her debut single, Charlotte, earlier this year, she was recognized by GAFFA as an up-and-coming artist to “keep an eye on.” Charlotte marked the beginning of her journey toward her EP, Growing Pains.

Siraj invites listeners on a sweet ride through deep valleys of confessional lyricism, offering care and warmth through her vibrato-laden voice. Over the summer, Siraj performed at several shows, including as a supporting act for Swedish pop-soul giant Sabina Ddumba at Äteriet in Borlänge.
