Claudia Campagnol

Country

Claudia Campagnol was born on February 22, 1987, in Budapest, Hungary, to parents who are both professional musicians. She sang before she could talk and started playing the piano when she was four. Soon after, Claudia also started playing the electric bass.

The whole family moved to Sweden, and by age 12, she could be seen “guesting” on her parents’ gigs in venues nationwide.

Her dad joined a latin american salsa group that toured a lot. Soon they discovered that Claudia could sing, so she became their lead vocalist singing in Spanish without understanding the words but pronouncing them perfectly.

After graduating from the University of Music in Malmö, Claudia rapidly established herself as one of the leading singers of her generation.

After several years of working in Sweden and around Europe, Claudia settled in Copenhagen, Denmark, where she met and married the Swedish-Italian drummer Niclas Campagnol.

Over the years, Claudia Campagnol has worked with international names like Stevie Wonder, John Blackwell, and Nils Landgren to name but a few. And world-class musicians Jimmy Haslip, Vinnie Colaiuta, Gerard Presencer, and Eliel Lazo are guest starring on her long-awaited debut album ‘I’m Strong‘: The album has received excellent reviews by critics all over the world, and was nominated in two categories at
Danish Music Awards Jazz’ 2019: ‘Best Vocal Album’ and ‘Best New Act‘.
