If over the festive season you were lucky enough to become the proud owner of new headphones or speakers, and even if you weren’t, the acoustic version of Mother Earth by Swedish singer Arvid Nero is the ideal listening test.
Recorded and produced by Arvid himself ‘Mother Earth – Acoustic‘ is taken from his 2018 debut album (produced by Johan Håkansson) Mother Earth. Stripped of vocal echo, rhythmic drums and effects, now only the guitar chords remain and reveals even more of this incredible soul-stirring blues song.
The former Magnolia frontman’s voice is an outstanding instrument alone. There’s an unmistakable sense of hurt, even torment in every syllable.
Attracting the notice he deserves, Swedish radio station P4 played the album track ”Bored With Clay” and single ”Jesus Knocking” for four months each. The track ”Run On” was also heard in the Canadian show ”Mary Kills People” in season two.
We’re going to insist Arvid Nero is heard in all quality hi-fi stores too!

LISTENING NOTES
While listening the strings should be clear, and not too bright overlaid with Arvid’s tale of woe sung with a compelling natural tone bringing your midtones to life.
