Despite the continued rise of soul and R&B in Sweden, soul songs performed in Swedish remain less common, especially from male artists. Christoffer Hiding has long been part of shaping that space, and he continues to show the level that first drew listeners in.
Originally introducing his music in English, Christoffer later returned to writing and performing in Swedish. His latest single, Allting kommer ordna sig, shows that language is no barrier when the feeling lands the way it should.
Produced by Markus Linnell Zovic on keys and drum programming, alongside David Götvall on bass and Anders Augustsson on guitar, the track flows naturally, shifting in subtle ways that keep it engaging throughout.
Allting kommer ordna sig (Everything is going to be alright – eng.) has a minimalist intro and Christoffer’s signature vocals, before the soundstage broadens with electronic keys and a tight drum lick that keeps the groove in tempo. Layered harmonies are what take this single back to the 70’s and into rare groove territory. It’s the dynamics in the breaks, along with his almost angelic harmonies, that propel this track into the category of ear-warming gems.
Easy to play, no matter the setting, the single reinforces why Christoffer remains a highly respected name in the soul scene. He has a way of crafting melodies that connect, regardless of language.
We strongly recommend you press play, because as Christoffer says, ‘everything is going to be alright.’
