Cuban/Swedish songstress LUCIIA makes emotional debut / Bleed for it
A radio-friendly song from the heart.
Stockholm based artist LUCIIA has released her debut single and video – Bleed For It.
Women are leading the way in expressing their voices in modern R&B/pop and LUCIIA imparts her impassioned and relationship weary tones with intensity. The single feels radio-ready and behind the production is UK producer Chris Andoh (Stormzy – Vossi bop) who smoothly underlines her vocals.
Bleed For It is also released with an artistically thoughtful video directed by Richard Ntege and NTEGE co-directed by Wasim Harwill. The styling and architecture support the dramatic theme of the track.
26-year-old LUCIIA, who grew up in Malmo, has music in her family roots. Her Cuban father is the lead singer of the band Afro Cuban Allstars and the inspiration to be on stage became a natural step.
While this is obviously more pop than Cuban, LUCIIA is undoubtedly stepping in the right direction.
