If you’re the type of soul lover who likes to do more than just listen, the kind who dances in the kitchen, throws impromptu living-room discos for one, or gets lost in a beat on the balcony, then No Other Way from Iceberg Sound System is calling your name.
The production duo, made up of Max I Million and Illsbury Doughboy, have teamed up with Malmö-based soul powerhouse Pauline Kamusewu (Running Out Of Gas, Give Me A Call). Together they’ve delivered a funk-drenched, sun-kissed single that’s pure groove therapy.
And they haven’t stopped at one version.
Alongside the original, you’ll find the Koolade Remix (this writer’s current favourite), an even deeper dip into the pocket of rhythm. There’s also an instrumental and a Koolade Remix instrumental, giving DJs, remix junkies, and mood-curators plenty to play with.
This isn’t a sit-down-and-nood-along track. It’s a “call some friends, pour something colourful, and turn it up” track. Imagine sun lotion, clinking glasses, and basslines so warm you could get a sun tan.
With No Other Way, Iceberg Sound System have created a dance-floor-ready slice of organic soul that proves the Scandinavian Soul scene isn’t just about headphone moments, it’s about moving bodies, lifting moods, and stretching summer out for as long as you want it. And who doesn’t want that?
