“All I want for Christmas is a bag of money, so I can leave …”
Ok, that’s not the sentiments you’d expected to greet the festive season. However, the Swedish songstress has never been one not to tell you how she really feels.
The petite singer who broke out with her incredible bluesy, soul vocals returns to her soulful best with a ’60’s inspired production as she sings of her despair at the commercialisation and festivities repeated every year.
– I’ve always had a love-hate relationship with Christmas. It is super cozy at first, but in the end, you just want to escape because you get so tired of everything that has been overdone. But the song is done with the twinkle in the eye. We had a good feeling in the studio and felt the vibes right away that this song would be such a great song that will make you happy and can relate to. I can’t wait to play this live because it will be a crazy performance! hehe
With previous releases such as ‘Dear Mr. Santa‘ and before that a whole Christmas EP called ‘Black and White X-mas‘ we have got a feeling she’ll be looking out the window Christmas Eve night with the rest of us!
Though she may see The Grinch!
Enjoy!
