It was just a few days ago that we introduced you to the raw and dynamic Danish artist Selma Judith. Her take-me-as-I-am attitude has set her apart, and she’s just released a new video – A Prince.
The song is originally by Jorja Smith, an English R&B/pop singer-songwriter, and Selma, a trained harpist, also thrives on R&B expression.
The harp is one of the worlds oldest instruments and dates back to the Egyptian era (3000bc). Selma delicately pulls the strings on this classic instrument, and it sings angelically to create a historical, almost medieval atmosphere. You can almost feel the castle walls.
Filmed at Grand Teatret, Copenhagen, the video features close up views of Selmas numerous vintage designed tattoos confirming a love for the past is close to her heart. Selma’s vocals are undoubtedly from today, and she sings effortlesslyand soulfully.
Short but very sweet.
