Susanne Ørum released the official video of her feel-groove single Be Mine 254 W. The song is a tribute to the legendary music duo Ashford & Simpson’s Sugar Bar in Manhattan.
Some of Susanne’s favourite songs were written by Ashford and Simpson – like Ain’t No Mountain High Enough, I’m Every Woman and Stuff Like That. As a result, she created a track that embodied the duo’s sound.
From the moment you hear her opening, Be Mine 254 W pulls you in and locks you into her party. Radiating sunshine vibes and good times, the track has one of the tastiest lines you’ll hear all year –
/ Babe let’s dine out, / just you and me and crispy chicken please, / some collard greens and black-eyed peas / and Motown will be the soundtrack to the magic of summer love /
And in the video, the Danish artist also rides in one of the coolest rafts you’ll see!
Valerie Simpson heard Susanne’s single ‘Be Mine 254 W’ and loved it so much that she invited her to come to Sugar Bar and shoot the song’s video.
Be Mine 254 W is taken from her debut album, Get Real, featuring 13 soulful/R&B tracks earning high praise worldwide, including from us.
There’s only one place to be this summer – anywhere you can hear Susanne Ørum playing.
