Charlotte Dos Santos has released her new single – Harvest Time. The single is her first release following her debut album Cleo and marks the start of a new chapter.
The Norwegian singers’ poetic prowess entices, unveiling a song which evokes an enlightening feeling of being reborn.
In Charlotte Dos Santos words –
Once upon a time, something in me died. Death caused by a painful heart – But like the Phoenix, I had died but risen again newer, brighter, seeing more clearly than ever.
If you listen, there’s a stillness. Like the moment right before the rain comes, the moment of stillness before you hear the snow falling. That’s when the melody came to me, and I knew it was time to harvest. Harvest Time is about killing your ego and burying the old- be it yourself, old habits or thoughts, patterns that doesn’t serve you – and only harvest with you the important and necessary things to continue your growth. It’s about a renaissance and the beginning of a metamorphosis.
Deep in meaning and lush and soulful in sound, the single accompanies a video directed by Fiona Godivier, which sees the angelic songstress in the embracing beauty of mother nature.
The singer also announced her European tour dates (see here).
Magnificent.
