A melancholic and intense romance gets a soulful twist with Elma‘s new single R&B/pop, Death By Drowning.
Produced by Olle Grafström (Tjuvjakt), Swedish artist Elma formulates the song in two ways – introduced first with a high-pitched voice effect before calming into a smoulderingly smooth R&B/pop single. The layers of gospel harmonies and hints of D’Angelo vibes are coated by Elmas always immaculate vocals.
As with her previous releases (I Can Tell (U Wanna Hold Me), Does She), Elmas’ perspective on relationships continually demonstrates her lyrical strength. In Death By Drowning, she pens an alternative angle seeing a foreboding fate to passionate love.
