Admired by global soul connoisseurs, Norwegian band Fieh return with an impressive new single, Grendehus Funkadelic.
The band that prefaced the sonics for Norway’s neo-soul scene latest reveal is an organically funky dance track. The full-length arrangement is a groove orgasm of engaging lyrics inciting ‘to do strange wild things‘ before flowing into an otherworldly outro. Vocally led by the adorable Nordic tones of Sofie Tollefsbøl, Fieh express music as an art form, injecting enough playful innocence to disarm with ease.
Knowing how to dance to Grendehus Funkadelic is irrelevant. Wonderfully freeing and exploring a spiritual dimension at the end, this is an invitation to do what feels good.
The single is their first release since the fabulous debut album Cold, Water, Burning, Skin. Defining the sound of Norwegian neo-soul and Scandinavian soul music, we are blessed to experience them here and now. It’s another superb release from this innovative band.
