Julia Spada releases her new single / You’re Mine

The core of the sound of soul lives within more than the musical arrangement – the voice alone can deliver all the emotional connection we call ‘soul’.

One underground singer whose soulful voice we’re always excited to hear is Julia Spada. Julia’s previous releases such as ‘Headshake’ and the stunning ’Reptile Mission’ have already sealed her name in the Scandinavian soul music vaults.

The Swedish artist/songwriter/producer, who’s been busy working on a number of collaborations, now releases her ‘official’ solo single – You’re Mine.

Julia’s vocals remind us of the Swedish singer Robyn on this haunting, yet passionate, electronic groove. Her pleading melodies gently seep into your heart.

“You’re Mine” is about that vacuum just after it’s hit you that love is over, but you’re still desperately clinging on to some last piece of hope that the two of you are gonna make it through” says Julia.

“I wanted to write about the ugliness and selfishness of that moment – being willing to humiliate yourself by begging for one last night together.”
