Shoot me in a Dream is the first single from HPNBs (Half Past Never Band) third studio album. The song has a typical HPNB sound where the influence of a variety of music styles are combined. Their new video has a western theme, and we’ve heard that during the video release event the evening will turn in to a western-style duel set in a harbour area – we just hope the guns aren’t loaded!
This new music video is a continuation from the bands previous “short movie” style of music video: Color Bars and Winds of Autumn dir. by Arto Polus.
HPNB is a Finnish band from Helsinki, whose music is not easy to define, but draws inspiration from several genres including soul, funk, jazz and hiphop. The band´s style has changed during the years from dubstep instrumental hip-hop to their current style, where black soul and funk rhythms are combined with progressive melodies and a stylish female vocalist.
HPNB have previously released two full albums and one EP. Their debut album “As it should be” was released in 2010, and it included mainly instrumental hip-hop. In 2011 Skillstreet Entertainment released HPNBs second album titled “Cubicle Coma” and in 2012 saw their third release HPNB EP, which took HPNB more to its current sound, the result of singer Fatima Koroma joining the band.
HPNB´s third full studio album ”Fall to Another” will be released 31.8.2013 by the band´s own record label Fatbass Records.
