LINDSJØRN’s neo-soul sound continues to impress / Step by Step
An artist whose sound we always enjoy!
In the press release for Norwegian artist LINDSJØRN‘s new single ‘Step by Step‘, we read that she “cooks together music and live shows with broad audience appeal that is difficult to describe, but incredible to experience.” After hearing the song, we completely understood what she meant by that, and we could not agree more.
We have been impressed by LINDSJØRN since the first time we heard her, and this is no exception.
‘Step by Step’ is a highly soulful and sophisticated song in which we can hear strong elements of both old-school soul played by a full-size live band and modern neo-soul with influences from other genres.
Furthermore, the melody is clever and catchy but never cliché, and the track has an excellent and noticeable beat. This, combined with LINDSJØRN’s charming and velvety voice, lets her create a unique sound we would recognize from a mile away. It’s a sound we always enjoy!
This Norwegian artist captures an international high standard of artistry. LINDSJØRN stated before this single’s release that she wanted it to ‘spread good vibes’. We’re sure that every soul lover and new listener will feel it does.
