Music transcends cultural and language barriers, allowing people from different backgrounds to find common ground and shared emotions. It acts as a universal language, fostering connections and understanding among diverse communities worldwide. Soul music was born from a message. A message that started with the praise of God in Gospel, into a message of hope, love and strength epitomised in Sam Cooke’s 1964 classic – A Change is Gonna Come. 61 years later, soul music continues to inspire a global population to express themselves. One such artist is Louis Anton, whose second single The Day Will Come, is seeped in homage, honesty and authenticity.
Louis Anton is a 24-year-old Danish independent artist, singer/songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer. He writes and produces original music blending soul, jazz, funk, gospel, hip-hop and R&B.
His latest release, The Day Will Come oozes with traditional soul and his vocals remind us of Norwegian soul pioneer Bernhoft. There’s a warmth in his tone and a sense of sincerity that resonates throughout the track.
An impactful message is delivered through the song, which is inspired by soul and gospel traditions.
Describing the lyrical content, Louis said
– “It’s a song with a message of hope and it’s made to inspire and uplift anyone who needs to know things will get better. I made the track at the beginning of spring when I was at a songwriting retreat on the small Danish island Samsø. I woke up feeling at peace and better than I’d had in a while at the time, and I wanted to put that good feeling into a song letting everyone know that things will get better. Later that year my older brother ended up going through a really difficult time which is why I’m dedicating the song to him.”

“I wanted to take that energy and put it into a song that everyone can unite on regardless of your religion – An anthem of hope!” Louis continued. – I really try emphasise on the spirit of music in everything I make. I truly believe in the power of music to connect us all.”
