Yesterdays International Women’s day was the perfect springboard to announce the new single from a strong independent female – Luana Kiara.
The Sweden/Gambia singer Luana Kiara debut track Trigger coincides with her announcement as the face of the fashion brand New Balance, International Women’s Day campaign in Scandinavia.

Trigger, listed as ‘alternative’, crosses the lines of R&B and hip hop with a bold, gutsy attitude delivered with an occasional F’ bomb. Luana pulls no punches from round one on this Nordic dark track.
Behind the scenes in the studio are the platinum-selling and Grammy-nominated producers Christian Nilsson and Mårten Fohlin. The voice sample, which I presume is Gambian, is a nice touch.
Luana is no stranger to the music biz, and the single follows her collaboration with the Scandinavian production and DJ duo Tungevaag & Raaban, where she was a featured vocalist on their smash hit ‘Bad Boy’. Released last year the single has over 12 million streams on Spotify alone.
