Marie Dahlstrom releases new jazz-fused single / Wandering
Underlined with her signature warm, smooth and soulful tone.
Danish singer-songwriter Marie Dahlstrom continues to tease the release of her upcoming debut album Like Sand, with a new soulful and jazz-fused single ‘Wandering‘.
Since moving to London from Denmark nine years ago – Dahlstrom has made a significant name for herself. Undoubtedly one of the music industry’s most hard-working artists, Marie is a literal fountain of soothing soul music. Tracks such as Bring Me Back, Where The Flowers Grow and One More Reason, along with several collaborations, have drawn global admiration. Now her soulful voice is as recognisable as the Mona Lisa.
The new single, Wandering marks a more experimental journey, yet retains the attractive melodies synonymous with the singer. Marie creates an image of a ship being adrift at sea, not being able to navigate to shore again.
“I wanted the song to feel like being lost,” Marie explained. “Something I feel like everyone goes through at some point in their life – and something I feel a lot of musicians can relate to when navigating their career as an artist.”
Wandering is taken from Maries’ highly anticipated debut album Like Sand, out May 22nd.
