Marie Noreger & Nedja are in the house / A Little Shy

Using their combined talents, Marie Noreger and Nedja have released their first house project – A Little Shy. Both artists have lit up the Scandinavian soul scene with tracks such as DDvS or Soulfully High by Marie Noreger and Flower Boy or Over It by Nedja, to name a few. Together, they blend house music and techno into a captivating, groovesome and melodic track.

Looking at how many views, likes, comments, saves, and reposts Marie Noreger has received on TikTok, “A Little Shy” has already connected with a worldwide audience. South Africans, in particular, know where the hottest grooves are at!

Based in Oslo, Marie Noreger is a Norwegian singer/songwriter who has a sensitive and distinct voice. She’s an artist that has sadly not been covered enough by international reviewers – us included. Just diving into her back releases always reveals entrancing songs with layers of jazz, R&B, and pop. The Norwegian daily newspaper Aftenposten wrote about her and featured her on its playlist, as well as on national tastemaker radio station NRK P3. And in 2022, she was nominated for a Spellemann (the Norwegian Grammy award) in the category “Soul and R&B.”

Norwegian-Tunisian singer/songwriter/producer/DJ Nedja is also based in Oslo, Norway. The singer combines R&B and electro in her music and is currently working on her debut EP, which will demonstrate her versatility and experimentation.

The collaboration was born spontaneously when Marie Noreger asked Nedja to join her in the studio on one random Friday. A genuine connection formed between the musicians, and a full EP was recorded after just five sessions.

A Little Shy is the first release from their forthcoming debut EP “Lonely Dinosaur“. We strongly feel that this summer, “Lonely Dinosaur” will be many music lovers’ soundtrack.
