Demons, the latest single from Muscular (World on Fire), is delivered from the idyllic land of Finland and is far more welcoming than any of Satans well-built henchmen!
However, this groove-driven track with a synth-heavy arrangement does burn bright with catchy intensity, lead by the scintillating soul-hop vocals of Linda Ilves (Ms. Lynx, Oaklyn).
We’ve not heard the Finnish songstress in a while, and it’s a welcome return of this dynamic artist. In collaboration with Ilmari Aitoaho (Muscular), Linda’s writing comes to the foreground as she describes the battles within ignited by her soul-hop delivery.
‘Demons is about the inner devil, who is ourselves and can prevent us from living the full life of our lives. And finally, about defeating them. The subject is always a topic, as each of us has our own demons’
And proving revelations can be found from anywhere Muscular also revealed the song was inspired by Pixar’s Incredibles movie. Incredible!

Behind Muscular is Finnish keyboard player and pianist Ilmari Aitoaho (b.1988). He is also part of the funk-rock group East Funk Attack, Motown inspired soul band Punomo and indie-rock cult Yournalist.
Inspired by the vibes of Herbie Hancock’s, Parliament-Funkadelic, Prince, Franc Moody, Vulfpeck and Cory Henry & Funk Apostles. Muscular embraces electronic music with grooves of Funk, a harmony of Soul.
