Nápoles
Raised in Stockholm, Sweden with ethnic background from Cuba and Russia, announced herself in 2020. Nápoles has always surrounded herself around music, and after her first family visit to Cuba at the age of eight, she knew that music was more than just an interest. Ever since she’s always looked for new ways to develop within the field, she spent many years dancing and exploring the styles of Hip hop, Dancehall and House. By 18 she started DJing which led to the birth of Ladieslovehiphop and her working collectively with her childhood friends Nataša Marijana and Rebecca Tegegne. By the age of 15, she started singing in the Stockholm based youth gospel choir ‘Joyful Noise‘ and later ‘Tensta Gospel Choir‘. Thanks to the safe space within the community of the choir, she developed her musical language. She learnt about the healing powers of gospel.
In addition to her personal development, the relations in the choir have also led to her working as a background singer behind established artists like Laleh, Lukas Graham, Amason and more.
