We haven’t heard from the Neoholics since 2015 and so its a welcome return for this Swedish band. The Neoholics drew immediate attention with their debut single, a Neo-soul/R&B cover version of Pharrell Williams – Happy and several funky follow up tracks.
Now the band return to their crate-digging selections to produce their own version of the single – Apparently Nothing (1991) by UK band Young Disciples.
There’s more than enough reasons for the lyrics to also feel decidedly appropriate in today’s world.
A baby is crying
A mother is dying
A leader is swearing
But no one is caring… About
Apparently nothing
The single features Teresa Pozgaj, a new name to us, however her stunning soulful vocals guarantees she’ll be a name we’ll remember.
