Nine Sparks Riots bring upbeat horns and elevating feel-good vibes

Those who know the inspirational tale will recognise Nine Sparks Riots song title – This Too Shall Pass.
In the fable, a sultan requests of King Solomon for a sentence that would always be true in good times or bad; Solomon responds, “This too will pass away‘. Whilst still in the midst of a killer pandemic we are undoubtedly living through ‘the bad times’. And Nine Sparks Riots bring the good.
Wonderfully uplifting, this jazzy instrumental-only track lifts the mood like an injection of dopamine. The trio of horns’ unites in colourful riffs and cheerful melodies almost feel out of place with modern synth-based music, and I for one am so happy it does. These funky rhythms bridge all tastes, as they intended, and find the right funky notes to free any sullen spirit.
