We’re not going to pretend this is anything but Jazz.
However, it’s hard to deny there’s a whole lot of soul in US singer/poet Dean Bowman vocals. Together with an exquisite Finnish production, it steers this track directly into our waters.
After a ten-year hiatus under the moniker Present Sense, producers, Jarno Lappalainen and Sampo Härkönen return with the first single taken from their forthcoming EP. The EP promises to continue exploring new expressions through the world of spiritual jazz.
An ideal example is ‘In The Present” delicately crafted with piano keys, and gentle horns beautifully overlaid with Dean Bowman’s vocals, spoken word and poetry.
The LONDON GUARDIAN has heralded Dean Bowman as “soulful, charismatic, and technically brilliant… a star,” and is renowned internationally as a major contributor to the New York City and Brooklyn jazz, rock, and avant-garde scenes.
