A phase of metamorphosis is complete and an inventive and imaginative artist is reborn.
Finnish-Egyptian singer/songwriter Sandy Temper, previously known as Sara Sayed (Rime), moved from London to Stockholm and with the new name comes an exciting rebirth and the first chapter in a video EP series.
In her new work, Sandy presents a full-dimensional creative artist, visually and musically. The visually are thought-provoking and surreal, similar to those usually seen in independent art videos with ambient soundscapes. Here Sandy marries them with dynamic breaks in the rhythm and as an intriguing trailer to the forthcoming chapters. Sandy’s climbing vocal melodies effortlessly engage and stir – strong and 100% pure soul. Lyrical in strength too, Paper Tiger is the metaphor for a person who doesn’t live up to their promises.
Sandy Temper brings yet another level of soulful music in Scandinavia. If Dim Out had a sister it would be Sandy Temper. Beyond the mainstream – and certainly beyond the expected.
