Soul artist Tomas Kaya debuts single / Fragile Heart

Swedish soul singer Tomas Kaya released his debut single ‘Fragile Heart’ on April 6 and was immediately added to the nationwide playlist on Swedish Radio P4.

The smooth tone of Fragile Heart climbs steadily, peaking with high pitched effects while grounded with gospel harmonies. The singles’ soulful/pop heart is easily absorbed, and lovers of Sam Smith will be drawn to the vocal similarities.

“The purpose of the song is to create an open conversation about socially less accepted feelings such as insufficiency, fear, shame and confidence,” says Tomas.

Inspired by artists such as Bruno Mars, Sam Smith, Jessie J and other gospel vocalists Tomas aims to balance the soul genre with his gospel roots.

Tomas Kaya started his career in the Swedish version of Idol last year. He became noticed nationally after taking the Idol jury and the viewers by storm. Anders Bagge (Madonna, Celine Dion, Santana, J.Lo) became lyrical of Tomas’s song, and with a big yes from the jury, he went to the final audition.
