Following an internationally successful debut album Danish band D/troit return with a homage to the legendary rock band AC/DC, a cover version of their track – Let There Be Rock.
The single, released on 7″ vinyl also has AC/DCs – Let Me Put My Love Into You on the B-side. The B-side is out digitally Friday 1 March.
Both songs may be unknown to non-rock lovers, but you can be assured these re-imaginations, though still rocking, have a lot more horns, groove and soul. To hear the original version click here.
An additional caveat to D/troits’ – Let There Be Rock version is the excellent video. Animated and created from the mind of Aurélia Durand it’s a creative spectrum of colourful translations of the lyrics. Her vibrant style, which has landed her exhibitions in both Copenhagen and Paris, is a graphically stunning visual interpretation. Look out for lead singer Toke Bo funky moves!
