Sublime rooftop soul with Marie Dahlstrom and Elijah Fox / I Want You
An impeccable soulful duet.
We have always felt Marie Dahlstrom‘s name should be sung from the rooftops, and her latest video takes us literally. The serenity of the city skyline surrounds the London based Danish soulstress as American artist Elijah Fox joins her for a live rendition of the dreamy single I Want You.
Taken from her recently released debut album Like Sand, Marie’s effortless ability to produce, write and perform exquisite soul music comes to visual life. It’s also a bitter reminder for those who had eagerly awaited her live performances before COVID closed all the stages.
Alongside Marie Dahlstrom is Elijah Fox, a 25-year-old multi-instrumentalist, singer, and producer based in Brooklyn, NY.
The video’s ‘pièce de résistance’ is when Marie accompanies Elijah on keys. Together, the duet of twinkling, playful, and improvised keys is the magnificent art of music on full and glorious display.
ALSO RELEASED
A couple of years back the single Where The Flowers Grow was released with a video created by @Fahrest, but it was taken down. Marie has managed to retrieve it and uploaded it on her own channel instead. It is defiantly worth re-discovering and let’s hope it remains online for a long time to come.
