In a country where outdoor saunas are used on the coldest of winter nights, you could conclude this is the meaning of the statement. Instead, it’s our reflection from listening to ‘The Scorpion Walk‘ – the funky new instrumental from Finnish flute maestro Ernie Hawks and the Soul Investigators.
This soundtrack emotive single feels peeled from a XXX movie, or art house spy film filled with a kaleidoscope of jazzy guitar licks, from the superb Soul Investigators, angelic harmonies and Ernies’ funky, dancing flute solos.
Ernie Hawks’ debut album “Scorpio Man” will be released later this year and he announces himself with this fresh new single.
“Scorpio Walk” taken from the forthcoming album resides on the A side of a 7″ vinyl and flips over to a groover “Message of Love” – a non-LP track only available on the physical copy from Timmion Records.
The Finnish warm waters are certainly bubbling!
