Tilla serves majestic lo-fi vibes / Expensive Metals

The 25-year-old Norwegian artist, DJ and producer Tilla returns with a touch of melancholy on her dreamy lo-fi single, Expensive Metals.
We discovered Tilla Earlier this year with her excellent track ‘Doomed‘ and confidently stated, ‘The right time for Tilla has definitely arrived!‘. Confirming our response, Expensive Metals, the third release from her forthcoming debut album, is yet another exceptional indication of this artist’s ability.
Describing the song’s inspiration, Tilla explained,
“Some years ago, the doctors found out that I am allergic to gold. To me, it became a metaphor for the things you wish for but can’t have, no matter how much you want them. In this song, I’ve linked that to the experience of loving someone you’re not meant to be with.”
“When you’re young and naive,” Tilla continued “it feels like you could have the whole world. That’s a beautiful feeling – but realizing it’s not true can be a very big disappointment.”
The only disappointment for us is the track’s run time of 2:18 mins. It’s only just enough time to drift away from this chaotic world, so rewind and stay immersed in this beauty.
