Swedish artist Fatima hits this out of the park, layering this nu-soul production with British musician Joe Armon-Jones vocals aligning with the ethereal soundscape.

Long term fans of Fatima (like me) will be astounded by this sound that melts her vocals into an intimate, softer expression, suiting her tones perfectly. The ultra-cool official video (see top) features an ideal setting for stimulating compelling compositions such as this. Wonder if they have a spare room?

Number One (#1) is taken from Tinted Shades, a three-track EP, available on vinyl via Bandcamp, spanning soul, hip hop and R&B crafted with personal truths contrasting dark times with hopeful optimism.
