Copenhagen based When Saints Go Machine (WSGM) deliver a modern R&B/pop single epitomising the sound first heard from the musically vibrant city. Since 2008 WSGM have experimented with electronic sounds as albums Konkylie, Ten A Face certify. On Emotional they twist an intense, dark lyrical tempo with eerie synth beats and expansive dimensions.
WSGM consists of Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild (Vocals, production), Jonas Kenton (Keys, production) and Silvas Moldenhawer (drums, production) and Emotional follow their first album release Seized the Light.
“The song is written as a dialogue, which most of all is probably an inner dialogue. About ending a place where it was never planned to end. A struggle with oneself, an addiction to emotions that is so fundamentally human. You can’t do that because you react, break down, and yet the destruction continues “, says lead vocalist Nikolaj Manuel Vonsild.
Emotional is the title track of their upcoming album, which lands March 12, 2021. This ‘Machine’ is marching in the right direction.
