Danish-Swedish singer, saxophonist Linéa has released her new single – Easy. The song title perfectly reflects the radiant arrangements ambience. Soulful and chilled, Easy has an embraceable softening vibe with silky guitar chords and mellow bass notes.
Easy features musicians Patrick Bailey (US), Thomas Drayton (US) and John Fernold (SE) on guitar and glistens with warm golden hues. Linéa’s vocals are comfortingly tender.
The song’s lyrical heart enhances the ear warming pleasure by uplifting honesty as Linéa explains;
“I wrote it more than a year ago and remember being so uplifted and eager to share it with everyone as soon as I had finished it. It was just very much a way for me to cope with some difficult emotions that I had been carrying around for a long time, and through writing about it, I just automatically made myself accept things for the way they were. Even though it’s been a while since I wrote it, the overall theme of finding the courage, being honest with yourself, and when that honesty hurts, will always feel very relevant and important to me.”
Linéa is the alias and solo project of and songwriter Johanna Linnea Jakobsson, and Easy follows a debut duo of soulfully elegant indie-pop releases – You & I, and What We Did In My Head.
As the Nordic soulful genre continues to evolve, we suggest you listen closely to Linéa. This artist is helping define the sensitive sound of Sweden’s soul.
