Linéa is the alias and solo project of Danish-Swedish singer, saxophonist and songwriter Johanna Linnea Jakobsson.
In recent years, Linéa has spent time building a career on the Danish and Swedish jazz scene while working as a songwriter. Linéa as a project came to life after Johanna met English/American producer and composer Claire Courchene.
Linéa’s debut single You & I is a wonderfully elegant, lo-fi love letter, matched by a soothing video with the architectural backdrop of Stockholm city.
Linéa sings with such a warm tone, it could fill an empty heart with love.
Speaking about the track, Linéa says;
“One of the things I really like about the track is the organic and kind of unpolished home studio vibe of the song. Also, all instruments are recorded by Claire and myself. I think that we – and especially Claire production-wise – achieved to let the intimacy of the acoustic elements shine through.”
Their vision to maintain the demos’ rawness and closeness heighten its sense of pure, unfiltered, loving honesty. It’s like listening to an ecological version of music, devoid of technical additives and artificial colourings. Linéa proves that less can be way more.
