Electronic soul newcomers Yehra have released their new single Magnetic and effortlessly seduces.
Yehra is a cross-Atlantic collaboration between Danish producer Rasmus Liebst and Canada based singer/songwriter Jen Mahon, who have instantly formed an impressive partnership. Magnetic elegantly follows the duo’s unforgettable debut – Daydreaming, seamlessly continuing their soothing vibes whilst further establishing Yehra’s sound signature.
The melodic guitar loop hook as a hypnotic thread flowing through this oh-so dreamy single. Jen Mahons‘ feather-soft vocals tenderly overlay the outstanding production by Rasmus Liebst. While the slide guitar notes by Otto Rud, more often heard in country music, adds to the songs’ exquisite listening sonics. Cotton Eyed Joe could have learnt something here…
Explaining the lyrical subject singer, Jen said;
‘Magnetic’ is about that person you keep gravitating to but you’ll never settle down with’.
‘Magnetic‘ is the title track from their forthcoming EP out later this year.
