Stick Around, the new release from Yoël and Majabou, pulls back winter’s cold curtains and welcomes the warm rays of sunshine.
Flawlessly produced with vocals and lyrics by Majabou, this mood-lifting song a shot of vibrant soul. Arranged with an upbeat acid jazz -type groove Stick Around has an irresistible soulful melody that radiates from pressing play. Majabou’s vocals are soulfully warm, and there is no escaping the sense that she is smiling while she sings.
Sam A Ruos, aka. Zee Raux lays the bassline, and renowned horn player Jan Anders Bjerger sprinkles a beautiful trumpet solo – and all packaged with a super cool cover illustration. We tip our hat to the designer!

Yoël and Majabou are new names to our Scandinavian soul scene though Yoël, previously worked with Pauleen on the single “Stupid Things”.

Majabou, who hails from Gothenburg, Sweden, is a singer-songwriter with a background in broadcasting, commercials, and other projects showcasing her versatility. But it is her love of blending soul, pop, jazz, and R&B that is driving her to release her music out of the studio.
Describing the theme of the song, Yoël and Majabou explain – ‘Stick Around is about when you’re out and about with your friends, and suddenly that special someone across the room catches your eye, and all you can think about is walking up to them and saying hello.’
This track will ‘stick around’ all summer and beyond. Superb!
