Amalie Bryde delivers a fierce new statement with her latest single and video – NO.
NO follows her singles’ ‘Lay Down‘ and ‘Say What It Is‘ which continue to form her unique identity embedded with female empowerment, creative visualisations, and wonderfully warm neo-soul vocals.
The London-based, Danish singer-songwriter incorporates striking dance moves to match her colourful style and this songs’ inspiring narrative. The jazzy loop, finger-snaps and warm bass-line underline NO with an alluring presence. The video (see above) created by Bence Borbely encapsulates her vivid and intense attitude, stirring Beyonce‘s familiarities with an arresting video style.
Speaking of the release, Amalie Bryde explains:
“‘NO’ is a celebration about embracing your true self and being numb to the noise that surrounds us, especially by social media! I wrote this song as an anthem for anyone proud of whatever makes them different and wants to scream about it from the rooftops. I’ve constantly been in situations where I’ve felt pressured to fit in and fall in line, and I’ve always been allergic to this conformity. Life is not about pointing someone out because of their flaws or because you don’t understand their decision to be different. It’s about embracing everyone for who they were born to be.”
Consciously and socially observant, Amalie is unhesitant in confronting thought-provoking topics with an eye for delivering impactful videos. Her music is tailor-made for those seeking deeper personal meaning and honest perceptions of today’s world – through a soulful lens.
