The unforgettable named band serve another memorable release flowing with an ultra-smooth nu-soul sprinkled with an electronic touch.
¡BangBang Watergun! arrived on the nordic soul scene late last year with tracks Disperse and White Gold quickly establishing themselves among the pioneers of the new Norwegian nu-soul sound.
Where White Gold was electrified with pace and dynamics, Wine is a far smoother affair reflecting the lyrics and equally enjoyable. A single heart searches another, hoping to find connecting over a glass of wine. The opening lines’ quirky charm has the ability to fasten as only classic songs do as lead vocalist Ragnhild Moan decorates this with her soft tones.
/ Met you where people meet when they’re lonely
You told me how you tie your shoes /
I can’t help but think they were drinking Wine when they designed the cover art too! It’s great and the falling face mask is a delightful touch!
¡BangBang Watergun! – Ragnhild Moan – Vocals, Ask Vatn Strøm – Guitar, David Andreas, Emhjellen Paulsen – Keys, Erlend Tredal – Bass and Sigmund Vestrheim – Drums.
Wine is released on Jazzland Recording.
